VF-Engineering supercharger conversion for the 6 Series 645, improves throttle response and mid range to top end power with a centrifugal supercharger. Whan designing this kit, retaining the original BMW quality, smoothness and reliability were key factors. combining the reliability of the Vortech supercharger and the performance of the GIAC software we have put together the ultimate supercharger package for the ultimate drivers car.

VF engineers have spent well over 12 months refining and testing the system and resolved any 'stalling and MAF' issues faced by other supercharger systems. The software for the kit has been tested from wet cold climates through to the hot arid Arizona desert to ensure optimal air-fuel ratios and knock protection. Further testing has been carried out at VF and GIAC's state of the art dynos.

The VF kit mounts the supercharger with a CNC machined aluminium bracket system, in-line with the original belt. This means the original active-spring tensioner can still function and eliminate belt slip and the need for manual tensioning. The plastic ducting for the kit is manufactured in-house at VF to ensure an OEM appearence, quality and fit.

The VF supercharger system remains fully OB2 compliant and is supplied as a kit with scratch written performance software, all belts and brackets to fit, air ducting, larger injectors, and performance airbox complete with K&N air fillter.

For further peace of mind the product is supported by a 3 year unlimited milage warranty.
The fitting time is around 8 hours and is totally reversible.

[Stage 1] Is going through the testing phase but is setup to create 6psi of manifold pressure at peak with a charge cooled inlet manifold, rather than a traditional setup meaning the chargecooler integrates into the v8 engine bay very neatly and reduces the need for 75% of the pipework when using a standard configuration of charge cooler.

1. Magnesium alloy construction (grade 12.9 stainless steel bolts) for very important reasons:

a) Strength: the StrutBarbarian bar section is tubular for strength comparable or greater than solid bars.
b) Light weight: the entire StrutBarbarian weighs approximately 2lbs (compare to other bars upwards of 10lbs.+)

2. The Barbarian uses no pivots or heim joints and is therefore a truly functional structural device. To resist bending and torsion that reduce effectiveness, pivots and heim joints are avoided.

3. Open top design allows access to adjustable suspension components.

4. Precision construction. In order to accurately produce a bar with very tight tolerances, we do not weld any portion of the StrutBarbarian assembly. Welding can compromise the structural integrity of the material and its metallurgical characteristics as well as introduce warping from the heat. By using computer numerically controlled (CNC) manufacturing techniques, we're assured that the bar fits perfectly every time.

5. Quality materials. The entire assembly is constructed of magnesium alloy with stainless steel hardware for continuous high-performance service without fear of surface or material degradation over time. Magnesium parts are powder coated for appearance.
